The other day I watched Double Indemnity and made notes about the styles, techniques, camera angles and also the story line. I made notes from a book about Film Noir, noting down basic themes which are found.
I have writtent the introduction and am beginning to write a brief history of Film Noir.

Research
So far I have watched the films Brick and No Country For Old Men which are examples of Neo-Noir. These films have relevance to my investigation as they explore Noir in modern times for a younger audience. I have also looked at http://www.crimeculture.com/ which explores aspects of film Noir.

Final Decision
I decided to not write anything about the Queen or Fred West and instead stick to what I know.
I have chosen to write an essay on the progression of Film Noir, discussing a brief history of the style before moving on to the subject of modern or Neo Noir.
I orginally chose to use the two films Brick and The Maltese Falcon. At this moment I shall still use Brick but will watch and use Double Indemnity as my original Noir film.
I have planned my essay and am beginning to gather data so that I can begin writing.

Either something about The Queen or Fred West. Does the project have to have an argument?
