The Queen: -Are you thinking about the monarchy in general and how it was created or focussing on just the Queen? -Is it your intention to research into the influence of the Queen and how this has changed during the time of her reign? -Are you focussing on her as a person and how she has presented herself in different situations, eg, Diana's death and how she was criticised in the media for this? -Are you interested in how she is perceived differently around the world and in different cultures?
Fred West: - Are you interested in looking into the criminal psychology aspect of the case? -Do you want to focus on the media portrayal of the case and how this has changed in recent times? This could lead onto looking at how the news can sensationalise these kinds of stories. Does this then influence other people to commit similar crimes. -Are you interested in researching how and why this man did what he did?
You need to choose one of these starting points and narrow down your area of interest.
